About our Los Angeles sunroom contractor team

Sunroom addition with tall white-framed windows overlooking a pond, furnished with a wicker seating set and potted plants.

From windows and doors to sunrooms

I spent years installing windows and sliding glass doors before I switched to building sunrooms in 2013. That trade taught me how glass, frames and seals behave, like how a slider starts to drag once its track settles out of level, and those are still the parts of a sunroom I watch closest.

Here in Los Angeles, most of our calls come from homeowners who want more use out of a patio or deck, or who have an older sunroom that needs reworking. I care that you end up with the right kind of room for how your family lives, sitting on ground that can carry it. That's what Lightcraft Los Angeles Sunrooms & Patios is built around, and we're licensed and insured. If you've got a patio or an old sunroom you're thinking about, send us a note or call (213) 340-1547.

What working with us is like

  • Glass, tracks and seals get the most care

Because I came from installing windows and doors, I plan your room around the parts that wear first, which are the glass, the sliding tracks and the seals. A door that drags or a seal that lets dust in is what bugs people every day, so we fit those with care.

  • You choose the kind of room before we talk numbers

We'll help you decide between a room kept apart from the house and one that opens up and becomes part of it. That choice drives almost everything else, and a room built for the wrong use is the one people regret.

  • A written quote that says what you're getting

After I measure and look at what the room will sit on, you get a written quote. It spells out the room type, what's going under the room and who's handling the permits, so nothing is left to memory.

How we go about the job

  1. A visit from me

We start every job with me coming out to look at it myself, so the questions about how you'll use the room get asked on site.

  2. Ground first

We check the slab or deck your room will sit on before anything else, and if it needs work, we tell you plainly instead of covering it up.

  3. Permits handled

We find out which office covers your address, since Los Angeles city limits and the cities next door each have their own, and handle applications and inspections when needed.

  4. Our own crew

We build with our own crew, and a lead installer runs your site so you always know who to ask.

  5. Straight talk

When something has to be checked first, we say so and explain why before we go any further.
